Some highlights from this week at the Walker house:
Colton got his first tooth! And his second!! Yesterday morning I felt that his first tooth had broken through. Well this morning the one right next to it was through, too! Looks like he is going to get his teeth quickly like Tyler did. Tyler got his first tooth about this same age and had 12 teeth by his first birthday.
Tyler tells me to dance when we're in the car with music on ("dance, mommy!"). So on Wednesday it made my day when my dancing was met with an enthusiastic, "Go! Go Mommy! Go, Go, Go Mommy, Go!"
While getting Tyler ready for bed one night, the whole family was hanging out in Tyler's room. Tyler started jumping around, and Colton began belly laughing. Every time Tyler jumped, Colton laughed harder. It wasn't long before we were all cracking up. Jeff and I were telling Tyler to jump more.
We celebrated October birthdays at Tyler's playgroup this week, and the kids had chocolate frosted cupcakes. Tyler had a perfect chocolate line around his mouth after one bite. The kids thought it was hilarious when they realized they all had chocolate moustaches, goatees, etc. We had some good laughs, and those with cameras got some great photos.
I got a kick out of Tyler singing along to "too late to apologize" by One Republic in the car. He is really turning into quite the singer!
We got Colton's Halloween costume, a lion costume I borrowed from a playgroup friend. I love it! He looks absolutely adorable in it, and I can't wait to post pics after Halloween. Tyler is going to be Superman. He is very into the superhero thing right now. They will be a cute pair!
We discovered how much Colton loves to eat. He can't get enough of his cereal at dinnertime these days and dives at the spoon when I hold it in front of him. He fusses when I take it away to refill. The other night I mixed him 7 bowls of cereal before he was done (enough to make thick cereal with over 5 ounces of formula!) It's no wonder he was keeping me up all night when we were solely breastfeeding -- he was hungry!
The weather finally cooled off! I am so excited for the fall. I love October, November, December. Truly my favorite time of year!
Now it's off to another busy and hopefully productive yet relaxing weekend.
Here is our week in pictures:
