I ordered a new lens for my camera and got it in the mail yesterday - yay! It was recommended to me by a playgroup friend, Nicole, who is a professional photographer. She really knows her stuff. I LOVE THIS LENS!!! I am having so much fun playing with it. It's going to let me be a lot more creative, and it allows great photos indoors with little light (and without the flash), which I struggled with before. Here are some photos taken with the new lens. I would like the one of Colton better if you could see his whole face, of course, but I moved my face to try to get his attention and this is what happened. I still like it though. :)

OMG Kelly these pictures are great! You're so good. Now I'll need to get this lens. I've been putting it off since I haven't put the time into get use to the one I have now and was planning on waiting until I get better at taking pictures.

it's the canon 50 mm 1.8. it's a stationary lens but takes really great photos, and it's very reasonable, pricewise!
