Photography class

Ever since Jeff got me a new camera for my birthday I have been wanting to understand how to use it and how to use it well. So I finally signed up for some photography classes. My first class was this past Thursday. It was mostly about how the camera works and covered the elements of exposure. My second class was Saturday, which went into more depth about exposure and gave hands-on lessons on how to create proper exposure in different lighting scenarios. It was fun, and I even got homework, which I am excited about! (Probably the first time I've ever really been excited to have homework!)
Since Saturday's class I have been snapping photos all over the place, playing around with my settings, trying to get it right. I will post my favorites at the end of the week. I have to bring them in to share with the class on Saturday. For now, here are my favorite pics taken during class...

Isn't she pretty?

That's the camera that we bought before our Europe trip. We love it, but we don't have a lot to shoot...Abby is rather uninterested in being a model.
