The week before St. Patrick's Day, my father-in-law Max was over helping us again. He installed new light fixtures throughout most of the house and updated our doorknobs as well. We finally have a lock on the guest bathroom door - yeah! (Crazy that there wasn't one before, huh!?) We also had a guy out to cut down the two large pine trees in the back yard. I won't miss those big trees, but I will miss the huge, beautiful pinecones they produced. Fortunately I was able to save three buckets worth! Not sure what I'll do with them. But I'll find a purpose. Max also cut down another tree toward the front of the house, that was right on the fence line, practically on top of the fence. It wasn't an ugly tree, but it was a hazard. Next project - finish cleaning up the back yard!
