Free fun Saturday

The first Saturday of every month Home Depot offers a free Kids Workshop. The kids get a Home Depot apron to keep, and they get to take home the completed project and a certificate of completion, as well as a pin to put on their apron to show which project they completed. I'm so glad we finally tried this out. We all had a great time and are looking forward to doing it again in September.

Jeff and the kids working away. Colton made a school bus pencil holder, and Tyler made a butterfly house.
When we got home we finished the projects by painting and personalizing them.
After naps we headed over to the Gaylord Texas for Summerfest (another free event). It had an Alice in Wonderland theme, and it was fun to walk around and see the characters and elaborate displays. The kids' favorite part was getting balloon swords made for them.
