Jolly old St. Nicholas

When I was growing up, every December 5th, St. Nick made a visit to our house, filling our stockings with surprises. The morning of the 6th, my brother, sister and I would run downstairs to see what St. Nick had left for us. Jeff and I have continued this tradition in our own little family. So this morning, the boys had a blast checking out their goodies from good 'ol St. Nick!

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.

Tyler checking out his loot. (A musical toothbrush!)

Every year, we each get a new ornament to hang on the tree. This year Tyler got a Cars (movie) ornament, which he was really into in 2008. He was excited to put his new ornament on the tree.

Colton had a stocking-full, too, including some new bath toys. The first bath toys that are HIS.
