Kidfish!

Saturday morning we took the kids to the KidFish event at Rhuedasil Pond in Flower Mound. They stock the pond with fish, and the kids can come out to fish and enter into a contest if they catch something. It was Tyler & Colton's first time fishing. They were so excited, and we all had fun. Here's a look at our day:

Tyler & Colton scoping out a fishing spot; Tyler ready to go with the tackle box; Jeff showing Colton the ropes; The scenery at the park.

Tyler & Colton fishing & waiting patiently to catch something; Our neighbors for the day caught two good-sized catfish and a small turtle!

We didn't catch anything but seaweed (or algae?). One of Tyler's catches actually sort of looked like a fish, and Colton's was the longest of the day!
I think the boys had the most fun playing with the worms. We ran into friends from our playgroup, and the boys giggled and got a little crazy playing with the wiggly little worms.
It was a fun day, and we're already looking forward to doing it again next year!
