Halloween: Parts 1, 2 & 3

Halloween Part 1: Playgroup Party

We hosted the Halloween party for Tyler's playgroup at our house Halloween morning. There were 17 adults, 16 two-year olds, one four-year old, one one-year old, and nine babies eight months and under. It was crazy but fun. The kids wore their costumes, and so did a few of the moms, and each adult brought something yummy to share. Everyone seemed to have a great time. It was a fun start to Halloween day!

I made cups for the kids with their names on them
If we'd had a costume contest, Cole probably would have won. Here he is as Michael Phelps.

It was too wet outside for the pinata, so the kids jumped on it and tore it apart inside. They loved it. Minnie Mouse (Lexi) was our best pinata stomper. Here she is with her buddy, Hannah Montana (Caylee).

Halloween Part 2: Trick or Treat
After dinner we headed out to trick or treat in our neighborhood. It had been raining off and on all day and seemed like it was going to rain again, so we tried to get out before it started up again. Tyler was a pro. He said trick or treat and thank you at every house, and Happy Halloween at most of them. It started raining so we headed back home to drop the camera off and grab an umbrella because Tyler wasn't ready to be done. We headed back out for some more and Colton fell asleep in the stroller, so he and Jeff went home and Tyler and I finished another street before he got too tired and wanted to go home. It had started raining again, so I carried him, the umbrella and his pumpkin pail full of candy back to the house. At home, he had fun sorting through his treats.

Back at home, Tyler samples his treats. He was most excited about the pretzels and raisins. What a good boy!

Halloween Part 3: Tyler's Gym Class

Tyler had gym class Saturday morning and all the kids had been told to come in costume. Well, only a few of them actually did (I think their parents forgot...), but Tyler didn't care. He was happy as could be jumping around in his Superman costume. I really think he'd be excited to run around in it every day if we'd let him.
